This is the Threefold Truth for SATB choir and organ

Augsburg Fortress Press
This is basically a two part anthem with a short, four part refrain. It is easily performed by smaller choirs. It is written in a modal e minor, and can be taught in a very short amount of time.

Anthem of Healing for two part choir (or soloists), and organ
Saint James Music Press (Sewanee Composer's Project, vol. 15)
Written specifically for a healing service, a darker piece with romantic harmonies.

Choral:

Come Away to the Skies for SATB choir and organ
Arrangement of the very rustic music and text from The Sacred Harp, this contains five verses including classic shape-note-style singing, a new harmonization, descant, and a very active organ part!

Easter Psalm for SATB choir, organ, trumpet, opt. timpani
Selected verses of Psalm 118 are used in this modal anthem of moderate difficulty.

How Blessed is the Place for SATB choir and organ
A standard “hymn-anthem” – unison verse, harmony verse, soli verse, harmony verse. Text celebrates a church’s anniversary.

Look from Your Sphere of Endless Day for SATB choir and organ
A standard "hymn-anthem" to Percy Buck's melody - unison verse, 2 part men/women split verse, harmony verse, unison with descant verse.

Make a Joyful Noise (Ps. 100)  for SATB choir, organ, timpani, opt. brass quartet
Noisy piece in ABA form which has thick harmonies in the organ and a “George of the Jungle” style timpani part.

O Lord, Our Lord (Ps. 8) for SATB choir and organ
Somewhat of a rondo form, a general praise anthem.

O Morning Star for SSATB choir
A five part motet that is meditative, with longing harmonies. Concludes with a verse of the chorale “O Savior Rend the Heavens Wide,” the hymn which also supplies the rest of the anthem’s text.

Praise Ye the Lord (Psalm 150) for SATB choir and organ
A bright, rhythmic piece with a very active organ part. Ends with “A Mighty Fortress is our God” mixed into the previously sung choral parts.

Sing My Tongue for SSAATTBB choir, opt. SATB echo choir
The Good Friday hymn, in a moderately challenging (but long) anthem; each verse is followed by an antiphon which could (should) be sung by an echo choir. Ends with a declamatory verse of “On My Heart Imprint Your Image.”

Sing Of Mary, Pure and Lowly for 2 part choir (children's choir)
A simple arrangement of Skinner Chavez-Melo's hymn.

The Blessed Son of God for SATB choir

The Singer and the Song for SATB choir and organ
A metaphoric hymn describing creation as a song, sung by God, the singer. A standard "hymn-anthem", but with a different tune than the one found in hymnals. Written for the ordination of Rev. Karen Parsh.

Te Deum Laudamus for SATB choir (+children's choir) and organ PDF
Flowery romantic poetry by John Dryden set to pseudo-Victorian music.

To You, O Lord (Ps. 25) for SATB choir and organ
A general anthem of praise, with four contrasting sections.

You are the Light of the World for SATB choir and organ
A quiet, meditative anthem on the baptismal text.

Missa Nuptualis Antonii for SSAATTBB choir
Written for the wedding of a friend. Mostly chords (not counterpoint) in broad ranges. A Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, Benedictus, and Agnus Dei.

Instrumental:

Handbell pieces:
           - Allein Gott in der Höh sei Ehr (All Glory Be to God on High) PDF
           - Schönster Herr Jesu (Beautiful Savior)
           - Freu Dich Sehr (Comfort, Comfort, Now My People)
                      3 octaves:PDF- 5 octaves: PDF
           - Herzliebster Jesu (Ah, Holy Jesus) PDF
           - New Britain (Amazing Grace)
           - In Babilone (Holy Spirit Ever Dwelling)
           - Schmücke Dich, O Liebe Seele (Soul, Adorn yourself)
           - Schmücke Dich, O Liebe Seele (alternate version)
           - Energy (We Give Thee but Thine Own)
           - Wie Schön Leuchtet der Morgenstern (O Morning Star)
These are all short arrangements of hymns. None are particularly challenging. I try to write music that utilizes the natural sounds and techniques of handbells, rather than write cheesy new-age piano tunes, converted to handbell notation (which seems to be the standard compositional style for this medium.)

Idyll for flute and organ PDF
An easy piece written for a competition - unfortunately I lost the application and wasn't able to submit the piece. It beings and ends with a short, pseudo-rustic melody, which surrounds a fun setting of "Nun danket All und bringen Ehr"

Lydian Suite for flute and organ
   I. Fantasia cross
   II. Silly cross
   III. Lullaby cross
IV. Dance of the Sugar Frosted Fire Gnomes of the Netherworld cross
Written for my wife, Anna, and I to play in concert. Modern harmonies and exciting rhythm permeate this piece, 10 minutes.

Phrygian Prelude and Fugue for organ
Written for the AGO/Holtkamp award in organ composition. Very much like the Dupre g minor prelude and fugue.

Six Sketches on Children’s Hymns for organ cross
                    I. In dir ist Freude
                        II. Vom Himmel hoch
III. Go Tell it on the Mountain
                        IV. Hilariter
                        V. Royal Oak
                        VI. I am a C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N
These humorous sketches could be used in a worship setting but are more apt for lighter concert music.

Suite Modale for flute and organ
                    I. Allemande cross
                        II. Courrantecross
                        III. Sarabandecross
                        IV. Minuetcross
                        V. Finalecross
Written in an A Aeolian mode, this 15 minute classical sounding suite takes the form of trio sonata at times, other times flute solo.

Three Pieces for Flute Choir

for solo flute, piccolo, C, alto, bass, and contrabass flutes
                        I. Air
                        II. Hymn
                        III. Ballad
Written for the Gannon University flute choir as a "thank you" for their baby shower gifts. "Air" sounds like a drunken pan, playing his pipes and dancing around; "Hymn" is a sad and sweet folk-tune.

Three Pieces in Memory of Sally Goldsmith

for Flute Choir: piccolo, C, alto, bass, and obligato contrabass
              I. In the Pasture
II. The Old Swedish Hymn (Children of the Heavenly Father)
III. American Folk Hymn (Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing)
Commissioned by the Gannon University flute choir in memory of one of their members who died of Cancer in 2007.
